60 minutes livestream yoga class: May focus is hips

In this weekly 60-minute vinyasa class, we come together virtually to breathe, flow, and stretch. All of my classes are beginner-inclusive, with plenty of options for different preferences and energy-levels.

Every month I choose a loose theme to build around. Our May 2026 focus is hips in all ways. The hip area is often where we experience the most discomfort when we lose mobility or strength. This is not just because many of us sit all day, though it surely doesn’t help. It is mostly because the hips is where our bodies need to shift the significant weight of gravity from one upright column (the spine) to two mobile columns (the legs). In order to do that, humans have evolved to have a seriously cool and very complex internal system of checks-and-balances in our sacroiliac joints and lower backs. We’re going to spend this month helping with its upkeep and resilience.

You will build strength and bodily awareness at your own pace, wherever you start from. The classes are exercise and you should come prepared to challenge yourself and move. But you are in charge of the intensity, and I will help you stay in charge throughout.
